This is what hour or more line looks like in Springfield. Enterprise was closed and directed us to national. I have been in this line for over 30 mins already and only three people have been processed. Companies have reservation times. Companies know when there will be an influx of people, but they still choose to treat their customers like this. I don’t have a choice because I am required to use this company for business. Enterprise treated us the same way in Phoenix. I do not blame the one persons they put behind the desk on this “busy” Friday night in Springfield. Enterprise made this choice and made the same choice in Phoenix where we had to wait over an hour and a half to get our car. I hate this company. I would never use this company if I had a choice. This is a first world problem and really doesn’t matter but I’m tried. I flew all day including a connection. It’s over a hundred freaking degrees here and I just left the beautiful Oregon coast. I’ll get my car. I’ll drive the 2 and a half hours to my destination while hoping some stupid deer doesn’t take me out. I’ll probably even stop for fast food become this line is taking so freaking long and I can’t delay my trip for a sit down. I’ll feel terrible and curse this stupid line and stupid company for taking this long to do something that should be mostly automated by now. Guess what. The line hasn’t moved since I started writing this review. I’ll be fine. The world will go on. Babies will be born and people will die. Thankfully enterprise gives me the time waiting in their line to write these scathing reviews. Now I’m done. Oh that’s wonderful. They just processed another guest. 2hrs to go?? Hey. Check that out. No lines at the other rental places. I’m breaking company policy and renting with one of these no-line competitors next time.

3 months in advance I reserved a Ford Edge or better and then for the second time this year I called Enterprise asking for my free up grade since I am a platinum member and I am offered 4 a year free according to Enterprise. They had 2 people waiting on customers , so I waited in line for 45 minutes at Springfield MO Airport. My turn came and the person at the counter told me I would not be getting a Ford Edge or better because they didn't have any also I was getting downsized to a Mitsubishi. I told him I was supposed to be upgraded free because I was a platinum member and had called. He shrugged his shoulders Then the person that had been standing behind me in line approached the counter beside me and was told the vehicle they had reserved wasn't available but they were upgrading her at no charge to a Mercedes. I looked at the person dealing with me and said really. Nothing else is available. I reserved for 8 days I also this year reserved a Ford Edge or better at Enterprise in Oklahoma City airport and was told when I arrived they didn't have any cars but they would call me when they had something available. I was there for 8 days and they never contacted me. I also did a review after getting home. NO REPLY

Total garbage company and they have absolutely the most horrible customer service. Had a rental set up days in advance even confirmed via phone. Upon arrival we got directed to another company since Enterprise was not open. The young lady advised us that she had no cars left and there was no record of our reservation that she could see. It was midnight, we were in a city we had never been too before, and when we asked the young lady what can be done, she just shrugged her shoulders. All she said was I don't know, I have no cars etc... Thank God for Hertz Rental because they were accommodating and had cars to rent. The reps at the other two companies said that this is a common occurrence at this airport, which I witnessed three other people recive the same treatment as i was being helped by the very professional Hertz agents. I will never go to Enterprise rent a car again in any city or country and I will advise anybody I hear talking about getting a rental car from enterprises to go elsewhere.

Don't waste your time booking with Enterprise Car Rental! I don't usually do this, but this time I am calling them out. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has absolutely deplorable customer service! I'm talking bottom of barrel, can't get any worse. We had a confirmed car rental in an emergency situation and when we got there, they let us know they didn't have any cars and that there's nothing we or they could do about it. We called corporate customer service, only to be hung up on - twice. Both times we explained the situation and they said they were out of cars, nothing they could do and hung up. Didn't even bother to try any other options; they just didn't want to be bothered. We had a CONFIRMED reservation. If I treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have a business. Moral of the story, stay clear of Enterprise. I had heard this before but never had a direct action such as this. Never again!

The Enterprise desk was closed when I arrived in Springfield, MO. The desk that was assisting Enterprise customers had a long line and one person working it. Ultimately I was given a choice of three vehicles. The car worked great and the early morning return was easier since I just had to drop off the keys. I did receive a statement via email several hours later.

I appreciate the consistency with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Every time we have to fly somewhere, we get the best treatment. If the car we picked is unavailable, they always provide us with something better. The process is so easy at pick-up and drop-off. I recommend them highly.

Worst experience you can have, what's the point of make an online reservation if the car isn't available ? Even I had a confirmation number, they canceled it when I get there and told me no car is available for me, I had to cancel my flight going home because of them, and pay a very expensive flight just to make it home, and on top of all this, no even an apology, stay away from this company, you will find your self on your own when they cancel your reservation and they don't give a sh$$ about your plans.

They cancelled Expedia booking 1 day before trip. They cancelled Enterprise Plus booking without any notification while Enterprise e-mail system sent e-mail confirmation and successfully checked in online. They also did not honor booking made by Enterprise Corporate Agent and told they can't give away one-way car when we showed up to pick up our rental. During all of the cancellations, absolutely 0 e-mail communication. Only for Expedia booking they called. It seems, they might be acting against their own Enterprise online booking and Enterprise Corporate Agent booking procedures and availability. Corporate Agent suggested to file complaint with them on this location practices. If you don't want to be surprised with last minute cancellation, look elsewhere.

Rented from them for years with great experience. However, in 2023, beware! I rented a car, and realized when I had to brake hard, it made an awful noise. I returned it and was given car#2. I parked in my garage overnight, and left in road trip the next day. Drive from Biloxi to Hattiesburg. Luckily I made it into gas station. No lights on dash coming on, but snow pouring out from under his and in thru a/c vents. I had to wait for tow truck. At lot in enterprise in Hattiesburg I got a small suv. Didn't leave parking lot with it as I realized the touch screen/Bluetooth, none of it was working. So I got in car#4. As I drove I thought I felt a vibration, but tight maybe it was my imagination. At my first gas stop, I couldn't lock it. Realized the key fob half broken off. The side that should have had buttons to lock was gone. The button on handle didn't lock it either. I manually pushed lock button inside. Then I decided to get a bottle of water out of the back. It wouldn't open! I ended up crawling thru to the back to get to my cooler. It was saturday afternoon- locations closed. I kept driving. Intermittently it said "no key fob detected" as I drove. Then later at another stop it said fob battery low. I stopped and purchased a battery and had it put in. I made it on my 600+ mile drive. The next morning while driving kids to school, something started beeping.. and oil light flashing! The kids said- it's bouncy back here. I did feel a vibration. Oil light eventually went off, then another light came on! This was in Springfield Missouri. No place had cars to give me! One guy just plain didn't want to give me one. (Don't think local locations make any money if they are trading for a bad car, so they don't want to give you one). Roadside assistance was helpful, but after having to call, and being sent to several locations saying they had a car for me, I realized there is no communication between roadside and the locations they send you to. I was sent in a wild goose chase trying to find a car. I wasted hours on this. The manager at Springfield Airport location was RUDE!! He told me if I was worried about a tire, that I could take it to Firestone, and they would bill Enterprise. Really? Do I look like an employee of Enterprise? I'm a CUSTOMER who just wants a safe car!! After all of this I've learned that they are having trouble getting enough new cars. They used to get rid of them by 30,xxx miles. They are now keeping them for 60,xxx. That said, they aren't doing maintenance checks on them. Every car I had (4), was a 2020 model with over 50,xxx miles and had various problems. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am a grandmother who was driving 12 hour trip each way, and did not feel safe in any of the cars! I have been charged for this, and the local manager has not responded to my email. I'm waiting for a call from customer service to see if they address this. What a horrible experience, then to make it worse, what a terrible way to treat your customers!!
